TCS issuer must not use the expired root certificate of an issuer for signing CSR/CR requests. Instead, it should automatically renew the certificate:

  • for self-signed issuer: recreate the certificate (possibly also key based on the configuration)
  • other issuers: re-provision the issuer key and certificate by initiating the quote attestation process.
