Accessibility - not working with ChromeVox

I tested the demo at http://instructure-react.github.io/react-select-box/ with ChromeVox and noted several problems:

1. When selected via ChromeVox+Up/Down arrow, activating the dropdown via Enter or Space does not work.
2. When selected via Tab both Enter and Tab activate the dropdown, but none of the options are read out. (not even the selected option)
3. Changing the selection via arrow keys (without activating the dropdown) does work, but only when the box is selected via ChromeVox+Up/Down arrow, and in that case the box also hijacks other keybindings. (Eg: Ctrl+Shift+PgUp/Down)
