Nice to know that the plugin is useful for you!
Regarding your request — this functionality is already presenting.
See the attached screenshot. Just uncheck it.

Yes. I told about this screen.
About mass-update for artboards - it just not implemented. Planning to cover it in some future.
If you need it now and want to speed-up a development then you can motivate me by sending some amount to my paypal :)

I don't understand why would you prevent a user from batch artboard settings change, maybe some tech difficulties but I would vote for such feature.
Basically, if I select 10 artboards and changing Artboard settings of Puzzle Publisher I want all of the artboards settings to be updated/overwritten
