python_sdk_auth #84
Comments
you are likely trying to install the library on python2 which is not compatible. Can you run pip -V and check the output? We don't support python 2 anymore since its EOL was the beginning of last year. |
verison 2.7 |
if you want to use our SDK with python 2 you will need to pin the version to 0.8.3. The new version of the auth library is not compatible with the older SDK which is the error you experiencing above. |
what i need to do is run the device with a 3rd party sim and from what i can see the only way to do that is clone the got and modify the files then install which is where i am having the issues. unless there is another way |
you can use python 3 instead. Its probably aliased to pip3 on your system or something like that. If you really want to use python 2 you can grab code from the previous releases: https://github.com/hologram-io/hologram-python/releases/tag/v0.8.3 |
