This app is linked from https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/node-sessions#storing-sessions-in-redis, but it has nothing to do with Redis.

Maybe caching with a maintained library that supports Redis would fix this issue: https://github.com/cayasso/mongoose-cachebox
