Can only generate 4 at a time

I believe I used to be able to use regional prompter to generate up to maybe 24 images at once? Something like that. But after a long absence, when I started using it again today I found that if I use regional prompter and attempt to generate more than 4 images, the resulting images are very distorted in one of the regions, and the image as a whole doesn't really follow the regional prompting. Have others encountered this?
