Community Leads Roles

A community lead is someone who can roll up their sleeves and work with others to create a space that supports and energizes the developers who make sure the Hack for LA projects are a success.
Shared lead duties:
- Keeping wiki documentation up-to-date
- Maintaining the CoP Project Board
- Welcoming new Ops members on Slack after every onboarding
- Analyzing and improving programming for the community
- Creating agendas for the weekly CoP and CoP Leads meetings
- Participating in monthly planning meetings with the other CoP leads (UX/UI, Ops, Engineering, Data Science)
- Onboarding/Offboarding other Ops CoP leads
Skills needed or willing to be learned:
- Creating GitHub issues
- Kanban management
- Agenda creation
- Creating and managing Zoom rooms
- Editing GitHub wikis
- Team communication
Time commitments: 2-3 hours a week
- 1 50-minute Ops CoP meeting a week - Wednesdays
- 1 25-minute Ops CoP leads meeting a week - Wednesdays
- 1 50-minute HfLA CoP leads meeting a month - First Wednesdays (rotating)
- 1-2 hours of task work a week
