To add a little more color to this, the context is that the Ossoff campaign used a campaign organizing tool in the market (Reach) and built an open source extension on top to help volunteers turn their voter data into phonebanking lists. My thought is there's a good chance that the Ossoff team may have noticed other opportunities while building this extension, whether another potential extension on the Reach app or something totally separate from the app, that our team could possibly take on.
My name is Karen and I am a volunteer at Hack for LA, a brigade of Code for America which works with communities and governments to build digital tools and services. We’re currently working on a project about improving voter turnout in the US, and we’re looking to learn more about challenges and opportunities that you may have noticed while building an extension to the Reach app.
If you or anyone you know would be open to a brief video chat, I’d love to set up a time.
Overview
Look into how the Ossoff campaign used ossoffforsenate/OutReach and see if we can use it to build something.
