thanks for this project.
I see a Dockerfile which is nice.
Any configuration-options concerning selfhosting?
Or is it zero-configuration?

I'm seeing a usecase for orgs/people to run rss-parrot not as a public service, but for just for sharing/interacting with (parroted) activitypub adresses.

For example:

  • I run freshrss to combine my RSS-feeds into one RSS-feed.
  • then I can ask rss-parrot privately to give me the activitypub adress of that RSS-feed
  • share the parrotted adress to the world

I can use the same rss-parrot instance for multiple projects (as long as they spew RSS out, could even be a manual written rss file) with my own domainname in my activitypub-adress.
This also offloads the public parrot instance.
Fediparroting? :p
