On the server I am following RSS Parrot account on, older posts are not always visible:

When I click the page, I end up on the (nice) landing page, e.g. https://rss-parrot.net/web/feeds/nanocommons.github.io.erm-database

But for new RSS Parrots, I often like to "advertise" it, by boosting an older post from the RSS. But for that I need to Mastodon post URL. Because I cannot get that from my server, I was wondering if that it can be added to that page?

The thing is, a Mastodon server A simply doesn't retrieve posts from another server B from before the time someone first followed the account from A. I checked this quite thoroughly because I didn't like it either... In fact this is one of the reasons why I decided to build those browser-based feed pages at all.

To me it seemed even if I pasted a link to a toot from server B, server A didn't show it as a toot, just a regular link. (I may be wrong about this one though.)

In any case I'll keep the issue here for later!

(PS thanks for taking the time to create the issue!)

Good point! Yeah, I have that now and then too. I wonder how this related to the new Mastodon server software that has this fairly new "open on own server" feature... (I cannot immediately find the changelog item about it, sorry)
