Describe the bug

When i open the GlideN64 menu to tweak any setting performance drops. Tried disabling Framebuffer and enabled Threaded video and deleted shader cache, but same issue. Tried with another game (Majoras Mask and same issue).

System doesnt throttle (which is good) and set to Maximun performance with AC Plugged so no issue there.

The issue does not occur while I do not open the GlideN64 menu when the rom is open. If I open the GlideN64 menu and close it again (Even if you do not configure anything) (!!!), i suffer fps loss and audio stuttering.

Let me repeat that: Just the problem appears when I open the GlideN64 configuration menu. It doesn't matter if I set any graphic values in GlideN64 or no values at all. No Throttling issue and Power Profile is set to Maximun Performance.

How to reproduce

  1. Download Plugin
  2. Uncompress plugin to GLideN64 folder in GFX folder.
  3. Open a Game (Like Zelda Oot)
  4. Open GlideN64 Menu (For example i want to enable FPS to check this issue), save and close.
  5. Fps drops and stutering...
  6. Close Project64, and Delete Shader Cache in shaders folder.
  7. Open the game again (like Zelda Oot) or with another game (Zelda Majoras Mask)
  8. Open GlideN64 and configure nothing. Really don't configure anything (!!!)
  9. Close GlideN64 Menu
  10. Fps drops and Stuttering strikes again...

Expected behaviour

Stable performance and FPS before and after opening GlideN64 menu.

Screenshots

A video will be included to show what was done and the evidence of this issue: https://youtu.be/KLCQ9QBz5cA

The video is my own, therefore I have pasted in the video description the required specifications. It was also tested with another game and the same problem occurs.

It will be tricky to fix because I can't reproduce that performance drop on my PC.
As a workaround, I can suggest using hotkeys to tweak things.

This only happens when using the default Project64 audio plugin.
I suggest using AziAudio instead as a workaround.
