I don't see any updates for 4 years and a recent PR (#12) hasn't been commented on. I'm just wondering if this package is maintained and safe to use for new projects or if it should be considered dead.

Thanks.

It hasn't seen any new commits in years. I'd guess it is not maintained. We've been using it in prod for at least a year now, though we just ran into a potential issue during an upgrade to Django 2.2 (the current LTS) that might require fixes.

I'm going to be maintaining a fork of this repo and republishing to pypi under the package name drf_ujson2. You can check it out here. I already have a PR in for version 1.2.1 that integrates your changes as well as some of mine.

I've actually went ahead and moved this into a new repo feel free to submit tickets there.

@Amertz08 To avoid confusion do you think you could remove your fork at https://github.com/Amertz08/drf-ujson-renderer or add a note at the top of it's README to redirect them to your new repo?
