With WFS-T editing, GM can do inserts to a WFS-T compliant server (GeoServer, TinyOWS). But (I think) GM will insert only "simple" geometry, for example POLYGON but not MULTIPOLYGON. If GeoServer's data store points to a MULTIPOLYGON data store it will reject an attempt to insert a POLYGON.
While testing I simply changed my data store from MULTIPOLYGON to POLYGON, but in production that might not be possible for an admin to do that.
Do we need a way of specifying the geometry type in GM's mapbook?
