Motivation

Whilst there are many great online SAS backlog tools, Command Post was built to be used within your own network by organisations where using one of the many available online services is prohibited for any reason.

Overview

Command Post is an easy to use Kanban board that can be configured to match your process. It is built for HTML5 complient browsers and has been tested with Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

Because there's no available online installation, you can view a screencast overview and decide if Command Post is a good fit for your team before downloading.

Technology

The client application is based on primarily on EmberJS, Bootstrap and some jQuery UI. The server uses NodeJS, Express and mongoDB. Client server communication is done via FAYE pub/sub.

Status

Command Post is in beta. Currently you can:

  • Signup and signin
  • List boards
  • Create and configure boards
  • Manage board lanes
  • Manage board card types
  • Manage board permissions
  • Add, edit and order cards
  • Move cards between lanes
  • Add comments to cards
  • View changes by team members in near real-time
  • Filter cards displayed on the board

If you find an bug, please open a github issue.
