Can't select a branch via the branches list #230

  1. Run the p4-branches command to get a list of branches.
  2. Click on a branch name with the mouse (or move point to the branch name and type RET).
  3. Emacs fails with the message, Wrong type argument: characterp, "BRANCHNAME"
