Hi,
Could you check the steps mentioned in this thread to see if doing them fixes your connectivity issue? #276

Came here after my last OSX update, where OpenMTP began returning a "Error your phone could not be connected" red pop up.

I have exactly the same specs:

  • MacOS 14.6.1 (M1 chip)
  • Android 14 (Pixel 6)

What I did per thread #276 (thanks @ganeshrvel !) :

  • OpenMTP / Settings / Detect USB Hotplug: turned this off
  • OSX: rebooted again

Connected no problems, back to normal!

Other things I did prior, that you might also want to check @wende60 :

  • Activity Monitor: checked that I'd quit any background processes like preview, gdrive, adobe creative cloud
  • USB-C Cable: checked it wasn't a faulty cable (sometimes apple is fussy, so I switched out to a proprietary apple cable to test both)

Don't think its a (new) bug per se, probably some config issue.
