gab dissenter icon in firefox notification flickering

The red number notification over the gab dissenter icon in Firefox keeps flickering, is there a way to turn off the number notifications? See gif:

@jcpro You can turn the badges off within the options/preferences panel from within the Firefox addon's page at about:addons. Toggle off the checkbox labeled "Comment Badge Enabled".

I guess since this FF addon cert debacle and their subsequent fix for it, IO havn't seen the flashing icon over Dissenter. Go figure. I guess you can close this.

Actually I just noticed that the issue has come back again. I don't want to turn off badges because I use other addons that have badges that work correctly.

@jcpro ok thanks for the clarification. I suspect it may have something to do with how we set up the flow to fetch & display which may be causing it do load/reload. I will investigate.
