Hi.

Is Google not blocking this dissenter extension?
Is it still working in Chrome?
Last time it was taken out from Google Chrome extensions.

Is there and simple way to install it or is this the only way to get it to work in Google Chrome?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=-4HuK5ANM-o

Do you plan to ad an AI that warn people for extrem comments to prevent terror and chrime ?

Great work.
We need free speech ......

you can sideload the extension, it's no longer available on the official chrome extension page anymore.
The video link you provided shows exactly how to install it.

I see the extension hasn't been updated in over two years. What's the status on the development?

Ummm...NO. If you go to the Dissenter Web site, you will no longer see a link for the extension. Instead it is for their browser

Nevertheless:

  1. it has been abandoned
  2. it does still work, for now

Very disappointed that this beacon of light in the free speech world has been abandoned just to increase revenue from a full-fledged browser that noone really wants.

But it seems for Mozilla based browsers they have blocked it. Even on Waterfox they included security patches from upstream which has blocked it on there also.

Ditch Mozilla and forks, use Brave(privacy), or Vivaldi (personalize). Especially since Mozilla has decided they no longer want a free and accessible internet for all and have embraced internet censorship just like Google.

Sorry, but continuing to use Goolag based Chromium browsers, and giving them more control over the web is NOT an option

Gab's own Browser uses the same Dissenter extension version as the one currently available here.

Chromium is open-sourced, don't use Google Chrome (Google's proprietary browser) then. Mozilla is a no-go as they have embraced similar ideas as Google too.

Solution: Use an open-sourced browser like Brave or Vivaldi where most if not all the Google services are cut-out. Or use Ungoogled Chrome or OpenSource Chromium browser itself. Or use Gab's Dissenter browser then, or if you want use K-Meleon or SeaMonkey (but then lose most of the extensions)

You seem to fail to understand that Goolag owns Chromium. Once they push out changes, it will also go to Chrome. Since those are the most widely used browsers, web sites are going to adapt to those changes. If the forked browsers do not follow what Chrome/Chromium does, then they can find their browsers will start to be broken on many web sites. You understand now?

I am really not interested in Gab anymore, especially since Torba has recently started engaging in censorship. He has effectively cut off all of Germany from Gab. Gab was being used to arrange anti-lockdown protests against Tyranny. It's time to make a whole new browser extension similar to Dissenter. Fcaebook has also removed such groups, and accounts off their platform.

TOR is really about anonymous browsing through the TOR network, and access to hidden sites which use special .onion addresses instead of IP addresses.

It's time to make a whole new browser extension similar to Dissenter.

Up front, I haven't looked at the code...
But it seems that Gab controls the database where all comments entered in Dissenter are kept. The code itself is open source, so it would be possible to send comments to a more reliable store if one was available.
Ideally a decentralized store with blockchain-like security against rewrites.

You didn't read the blog post did you? If you did you wouldn't be asking this idiotic question and jumping the gun like you did saying Gab is no longer free speech because they are no longer providing Germany access TEMPORARILY.
Here's an excerpt for your lazy eyes.

According to our legal team, who has been working with us on this issue for several months, we have three choices.

  1. Obey German censorship laws and start censoring content that the German Government doesn’t like (this is not going to happen)
  2. Disobey German censorship laws and pick a fight with the nation state of Germany (I likely wouldn’t ever be able to leave the US again, they would come at us from every possible angle through state-sponsored deplatforming, heavy fines, they would possibly leverage contacts in the Biden Admin to come after Gab in other ways, and Lord knows what else.)
  3. Temporarily stop providing this service in Germany by blocking German IPs.

I hate everything about these choices, which is why we went public with this information to gather feedback and consensus from our community on the topic.

The overwhelming majority of people have been very supportive of the third option. Our lawyers are suggesting this option. Our community is suggesting this option. I’ve had many people email me and reach out privately to say that this is our best course of action. We seem to have a consensus.

They wouldn't be a free speech app if they bent over for your proto-fascist government just so people can use it, if they did bend over then they would be acting exactly like Twitter, FB and other social media sites. Instead they temp blocked and unblocked and kept their values of free speech and integrity. It's not Gab's fault if the YOUR government forces them out of YOUR country.

That's not how Chromium browsers work. This only works if you have a DIFFERENT RENDERING ENGINE like Gecko, Trident. If you have Blink engine, there's very little that Chrome can do, since you can make your Ungoogled Chrome engine reply with the same browser agent as the official google chrome browser or the original open-sourced chromium project. The chromium project is an open-sourced project meaning, if the other devs from the chromium forks do not like the changes they can easily revert them in their own chromium forks/chrome clones.

Sorry, but you are incorrect. Since Google owns/controls Chromium, if they make a change on telling how to render a page, and the forked projects do not add in that specific change, they can find their broswers start showing broken web sites.
