Ask permission for use of logos and case studies on website #63
Comments
Did we not have permission before? |
@sima-qian it was patchy. We may have asked permission in some cases, but there may not be a record. The email copy should be something like:
We also need to maintain a spreadsheet of responses. |
So, I'm putting together a generic request to use websiteand will then look for contact e-mails in the existing spreadsheet in order to get in touch today. No bulk e-mailing, I'll contact each organisation separately. |
Relevant legislation (yep, we need to abide by that): @sofer May I suggest that we include a clause in whatever agreement we offer clients/partners so that we can secure their permission to use their logo on the FAC website? This would save us having to request it retrospectively. |
OK, so, I've listed the organisations whose logos we're already using and checked out their websites to find out whether there are any specific guidelines for using their logos / brand identity. I've also drafted a generic e-mail requesting permission to use their logo. @sofer, two questions:
[DRAFT] Dear [Contact Person], In YEAR Founders & Coders [BRIEF REFERENCE TO RELEVANT PROJECT HERE]. We are in the process of overhauling our student website and, in order to showcase our past projects, we would like to ask your permission to display your organisation's logo on our website. Would [organisation X] grant Founders & Coders the non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free right to use your organisation's logo for the sole purpose of indicating that [organisation X] collaborated with Founders & Coders in the context of a non-commercial student project? Kind regards, |
This is also an opportunity to let past clients know about the programme.
