(1) Issue/Bug Description/Video Capture/Screenshots

Windows are being displayed behind apps that are pinned on the desktop rendering them unusable as displayed in the screenshots above

(2) Steps to reproduce

  1. Boot your machine
  2. In the GDM login screen set the display server to Gnome(Default for Manjaro Gnome) i.e. Wayland server
  3. Type in your password and hit enter.
  4. Open any application. It will be displayed behind everything which renders the app(s) unusable.
  5. If you change the server to Xorg, everything works as expected
  6. Please fix this issue. It is frustrating
  7. Here's a screenshot to drive my point home

Hi @Magpiny, can you try to disable desktop icons and see if the issue goes away?

When I disable Gtk4 Icons NG (DING) the issue goes away. Thank you.... but this shouldn't be the case because in Xorg it works perfectly fine without disabling DING. Remember I also need DING. I don't know what is making DING to display icons always on top of other windows in Wayland but I believe that there must be a fix.
