The version in the dropdown branch works, but it is horribly slow when loading a specific directory. I think the fact that we are reloading the entire file tree list every a file/folder is clicked is a huge mistake. We should find a work around for that.

Also, when a page loads, it frequently redirects to the home directory, then back to the selected directory, causing multiple page loads. We should find away to skip loading the home directory unnecessarily when it is not needed.
