All the used and expected units of measure used by the converter should be managed centrally. The parsing and generating code should not use String values or local variables for the unit abbreviations, but centrally managed enums.

The JSR-385 (Units of Measure API) should probably be used to handle the units, abbreviations and conversions: http://unitsofmeasurement.github.io/unit-api/
