With music bots getting taken down left and right, I've been looking for a music bot to host on my own. Red seems like a good candidate, the only problem is that .fmbot doesn't support reading and submitting scrobbles from songs that this thing plays. It'd be great if support was added for this.

Since you already seem to have this bot setup would it be possible to post some examples/screens of this? That way I can see if it's possible to support this bot. I'd like to know the following:

  • A screenshot of the 'Now Playing' announcement when using a YouTube song
  • A screenshot of the 'Now Playing' announcement when using a Spotify song
  • When playing a Spotify song, does the 'Now Playing' announcement also contain a link to the song on Spotify? (optional, but would be nice)

Thanks!

I'm not hosting the bot yet (And I feel like finding another computer/getting a server to host this on just to get some screenshots would be overkill,) so I'll see if I can find an instance of the bot to get those screenshots

The bot dev did so on their own instance of the bot. Here's a screenshot, as well as an invite to the server if you want to join. https://discord.gg/red

Since it doesn't show spotify links, a bit of a hacky solution could be to just copy the spotify link from the command the user sent.
