Distance to next fix stops working?

For two flights in a row now, I've noticed that when I 'direct to' a fix in the FMGC, the mod will fly to that fix just fine, but the 'distance to' that fix changes to zero and doesn't move, and the 'time to fix' display shows 00:00.

Here's I'm 30nm from ELMEM after having asked it to go DIRECT to there, but it shows the distance as zero.
