What about speech to text? Like when you talk in youtube's search box, it will be turned into text. It's super convenient.

Another idea, translate after typing, like Gboard on Android.

I'd say I like this idea, though, on android, the talk back is not implemented via keyboard, but with a standalone service that listening to the text changes.

But if you consider the state of a11y and tons of different toolkit on linux.. it might not be bad idea to implement this via input method.
