@KrissieN do you have the database for us? |
Soooooon! |
Morning all. Looking forward to seeing you at 2pm. Please see the data fields that a RICS Surveyor has suggested below. He is calling me at 2pm so please send me any questions about this before I come in so I can ask him directly when I arrive. I have primed LBH, LBTH, TfL and some of our members to provide us with streets worth of information and will definitely have data for you next week. I just need to confirm the data fields in next couple of days so I can forward the google form to them if they want to use it. The google form will be for our members, I anticipate the data from councils and TfL will come in a different format like a pre filled spread sheet but with the same information. Business address with postcode |
Thanks @KrissieN ! Questions about these data points:
In general - are all these points 100% necessary? If we were asking businesses to provide their info, could some of these be optional or are all of them absolutely needed? |
Krissie, Got your message and responses are in red below. The more detailed the information then more valuable it is. However, to do a thorough job on a rent review further investigation will always be needed irrespective of how much info is provided in a template. Hope the comments are helpful and enable progress but let me know if not. Thanks for the inclusion on the app. Could I see how it will look before going live ? Regards Richard |
Questions about these data points: Type of transaction - what types of transaction might this be? Can we get a complete list so this can be multiple choice? Suggest using letting, rent review, lease renewal as these are the most common. Perhaps also add “other” if possible In general - are all these points 100% necessary? If we were asking businesses to provide their info, could some of these be optional or are all of them absolutely needed? Suggest people insert what they can. Leases are not always clear ! |
Yo! Hope you're all doing dandy. I need that link for the app from you to forward to the students with the other stuff from me. Please can you let me know when you can get it over and if there's anything else you need from me? Working on getting more data. |
THANKS so much all of you for your excellent work and time yesterday. Can we copywrite this as our idea? I'm beginning to feel the hawks circling! Not sure if you know much about that stuff. Also here's a summary from Nathan from yesterday in case helpful: Below I have summarised what we found out from speaking to the local businesses: A common issue was that a person of authority (i.e. manager/owner) was not available on site to discuss questions with. Most staff also couldn’t give a concrete time the manager/owner would be in. One shop owner we visited was very skeptical and said previous initiatives had tried and failed. She suggested that a meeting be organised that would bring the entire community together to discuss the issue because a group ethos could encourage involvement. A few owners were eating/had customers and consequently did not have time to answer our questions. They suggested to come back another time (e.g. next week) and this was scheduled where possible. One owner was willing to provide answers to questions via e-mail. His contact details were taken and Lidia shall contact him. A couple owners provided contact details to give them more information about the project because they didn’t have time to discuss on the day. Lidia will follow up. The owners willing to view the app were impressed by its design and concept. One owner highlighted that three or four landlords owned the properties of along most of the street (EastEnd Homes) and thought the scheme wouldn’t achieve anything because of this. |
