A great video that summarizes ETIB with graphical and mathematical models.
In addition, I think other factors such as species reproduction ability (availability of sex mates) and environmental resources can influence the island population while migration and extinction of species take place.

  • Can the rate of migration be similar for islands with a similar distance from the mainland? Or is it dependent on island size?
