I ran into a hole in the mesh of methods.
Convertion from Complex is ambiguous since there is a function that creates a multifloat from limbs. Defining :
MultiFloat{T, N}(z::Complex) where {T, N} = MultiFloat{T, N}(BigFloat(z))
filled the hole.
