Prerequisite Steps

  • I have searched existing issues
  • This issue is not a duplicate of an existing one
  • I have checked the EmuDeck Wiki
  • I have read the Troubleshooting Page on the EmuDeck Wiki

What distro are you running?

Bazzite-deck on Asus ROG Ally

Which SteamOS Branch are you using?

Not Using a Steam Deck

What happened?

Installed Emu Deck. All emulators are now working except Sega Model 2. It opens and plays roms perfectly in desktop mode, but in gaming mode, refuses to open. Roms also work fine on a PC.
This occurs if launching Model2 Emulator as a non Steam game, or launching it through ES-DE or Pegasus front end. Occurs if launching just the emulator, or attempting to launch a ROM from Steam/ES-DE/Pegasus.
Model2 emulator has been reinstalled and configuration restored with no effect.
I've done a lot of reading and searching but haven't found anyone else with the problem.

Relevant log output

Model2 log has the following message only when launching from Gaming mode (then returning to desktop mode to retrieve the log):
'ERROR: ld.so: object '/var/home/ally/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored.'
