Hello

Can we expect drachtio to support IPV6 anytime soon?

There are currently no plans, but I would be interested in the scenario you are facing; such as which SBCs or network providers are requiring it?

Hello

Actually we are deploying it on an environment in which we have a limited usage for IPv4. The recording server we are using is the Freeswitch.

I've successfully implemented a patch to make the 'drachtio-server' and 'drachtio-sip-recording-server' work well with IPv6 but I am not sure if it will support other use cases as well.

So, I was looking to contribute by pushing this small patch to the repository. Do you have a contribution guide or have anything in mind that I should follow?

Hi @Amrrx that would be super cool. You can just make a PR here to the main branch and I will review. It would be ideal if you were able to add test cases but that is not the easiest thing to do in this repo -- you have to create sipp scenarios -- so if you want to just make the PR I will look into creating some test cases

Thank you @davehorton for your response.

I've created PR #399 as discussed. It's a small change, but it works for me. While I haven't tested all scenarios, it works initially. I’d appreciate your guidance on adding and covering more scenarios.

Thanks!
