[Feature Request] Use mystery-man-less filter effects if the token isn't precisely detected #104
Comments
If I changed Tremorsense to look like Hearing, would you still make this feature request? If so, do you want to swap out the image for all tokens or just for specific tokens? |
I am going to say yes. Similar to the modules that allow you to use new images for statuses and conditions, they include images as suggestions... but can be changed by the individual user. Although I see a value in allowing a user to swap out, or not use, an image for each "type" of vision. (tremorsense, blindsight, etc.) I see 100% no reason to pick and choose specific tokens. The image you assign for tremorsense is all or none. I am 100% happy with the built in tremor-like motion 5e uses now by default. I loaded your module to simple help what it was detecting. Hope this helps. |
The thing is a token can be detected by multiple detection modes at the same time (Tremorsense and Detect Magic for example). So we can't really have an "image specific to a detection mode". I could add a global setting though that allows you to swap you the current default (mystery man) for some other image. |
OK, I guess I thought you were implying you had different images. My mistake. In that case, I'm 100% happy with your default image, and our ability to say (no image, if possible) or this image instead. |
I changed Tremorsense to look like Hearing (no mystery man, just waves). Not sure yet if I'll change the detection modes that still show the mystery man (like Detect Magic) to something a version without the mystery man. |
Looks fantastic, thank you! |
Would really love to be able to replace (select new, select none) the image used for detection. In my example, I am using tremorsense.
