Hey, so I know this was a long time ago. Sorry for slacking.
I've been aware of this issue but I'm not sure the best way to fix it.
For postal codes, they sometimes have overlapping areas and that gets confusing.
In the case you provided, the idea of the ziptastic jquery plugin is that they would then be able to edit the bits that are incorrect. i.e. ziptastic returns Salt Lake City, they see that's not the city they live in and then adjust it to Taylorsville.
Right now Ziptastic doesn't make any money so adding capability is pretty slow and comes out of my own pocket. But something I would like to do is add the 4 digit extension to ziptastic.
That would work but using the zipcode that's entered as well as Address1 fields to figure out the exact location.
According to USPS.com, 84129 is valid ZIP code for SALT LAKE CTY UT and TAYLORSVILLE UT.
