The world standard, as verified by AI is YYYY-MM-DD.

This format is preferred because it is unambiguous and prevents confusion between different date formats used in various regions (such as MM/DD/YYYY in the United States or DD/MM/YYYY in many European countries).

It also facilitates sorting dates chronologically when stored as text or numbers.
