.SH SYNOPSIS
.B shutdown

TIME [MESSAGE]
.SH DESCRIPTION
.B shutdown
brings the system down in a safe way.
.PP
.I TIME

.IR +m ,

.I m
is the number of minutes to wait until shutting down and
.I hh:mm
which specifies the time on the 24 hour clock. A single number will be treated as the number of seconds before shutting down.
.PP
.I MESSAGE
is an optional warning message that will be shown on the console and is sent to all logged on users. If no message is supplied a default message is created. This message is stored in Windows System Event Log as well.
