I'm wondering if you thought about making front end "split_queries_by_interval" configuration based on query range, for example, for a query with query range 12h, I can configure it split by 6h; for a query with query range 7d, I can configure it split by 1d etc... With current configuration, I can only configure it with either 6h or 7d, if I config split by 1d, then query with query range 12h won't benefit much from it, likewise, if I configure split by 6h, then it will be generate 28 subquery requests, the performance of 7d query may not good as split by 1d.
Have you considered make query split based on query range? What's the opinions and thoughts about it? Thank you!
