When I installed murmur, sometimes I cannot update/install packages because this error occurs, but after a few repeats of this operation it passes successfully. If I try rebase Silverblue I get the same error all the time even after a few repeats.

journalctl:

...
Txn Rebase on /org/projectatomic/rpmostree1/fedora failed: While applying overrides for pkg mumble-server: Could not find user 'mumble-server' in passwd file
...

Host system details

● fedora:fedora/36/x86_64/silverblue

Expected vs actual behavior

# rpm-ostree rebase fedora:fedora/37/x86_64/silverblue
error: While applying overrides for pkg mumble-server: Could not find user 'mumble-server' in passwd file

Expected:

# rpm-ostree rebase fedora:fedora/37/x86_64/silverblue
...
Success!

Steps to reproduce it

  • install murmur
  • reboot
  • try install package or upgrade/rebase Silverblue
