podman pod rm: Error: removing pod XXX cgroup: <echo>: Unit machine-ETC.slice not loaded #20044
Comments
Still happening. @giuseppe is this something that makes sense to you?
Seen in: int podman debian-13+fedora-38+fedora-39+fedora-39?+rawhide root+rootless host boltdb+sqlite, i.e., basically everything except podman-remote (yet) |
Pleeeeeeease?
Showing up everywhere except podman-remote. |
Still happening fairly often
|
ping, still flaking
|
@giuseppe Can we ignore this error? Seems the cgroup not existing ought to be safe |
I am not sure we can ignore it, it seems the systemd slice got into some weird state and we are leaking it. It can possibly be a problem if we restart the pod into the same slice/cgroup |

Ping, this is a really nasty flake, @giuseppe can you please TAL?
|
This is not as nasty as the podman-machine flake but this is still really really nasty. It's hitting me constantly in #17831, and I would like to escalate it.

potential fix: containers/common#2108 |
and the vendor PR: #23456 |
Can this be closed, sounds like it is fixed? |
Last seen July 31. |
Thank you @giuseppe! |
Only one instance, in int f38 root, but am filing because there's just something about it that I don't like:
