Itemcontent no editor just textarea

I am using Typo3 9.5.3 with owl_slider 3.0.0. According to documentation the itemcontent field should be an editor field --> https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/extensions/owl_slider/3.0.0/Functions/Customnavigation/Index.html. However I see just a plain textarea. Is this a bug?

I can not reproduce this with TYPO3 9.5.9 and rte_ckeditor 9.5.6, maybe you have a miss configured RTE?

I had to add in TCA tx_owlslider_domain_modem_item.php enableRichtext => true and remove colls/rows. Now I see the rte_ckeditor.
