C64 Visual ReShade Simulator

  • Simulated visual appearance of C64 multicolor mode with 2:1 pixel aspect
  • Distinct C64 palette
  • Various dithering modes
  • Scanline and partial CRT simulation

Recommended resolution is 1080p give or take for optimal effect
Recommended to disable in-game Film Grain effect if present

Installation

  1. Download ReShade post-processing injector.
  2. Install ReShade into your game's directory
    e.g. "F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Last of Us Part I"
  3. Download and copy the content of reshade-shaders into game's directory. You should have the following file present "F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\The Last of Us Part I\reshade-shaders\Shaders\retro_c64.fx"
  4. Launch the game and enable RetroC64 pass in ReShade. ReShade menu is activated by pressing Home key by default.
