I am an architecte and I am used to CAD programs for my kob.
I've had to draw and build advanced 3D constructions for my profesionnal work, working with Allplan 3D, a software designed especialy for architects. I've found in this program everything I needed at the time, to draw and build interesting buildings.
Right now, apart from this job, I decided to give myself a llittle more time for my hobby, I ean sculpture.
As I am a little more than 50 years old, I thought that it's a little late for me to learn how to realize a perfect sculpture, and for being proud of my work.
So I found several free 3D models on the net, I bought a few ones for few dollars, and starter to modify them until I found them perfect.
As those bases weren't tecnically perefct, and for the fact that I needed a free software to go further, I've serached an "easy to use free but efficient software", and discovered Melslab.
For only talking about its "repair" functions, it has benne a technical revolution for me !
I've had the possibility, with Meshlab, to finish usable meshes and export them into a free slicer:
I wanted to cut 3d models into horizontal slices, export their graphic plans, use those plans in a laser cutter, stack all the slices and rebuild the 3d model.
I'm nearly succeeding at it, it wouldn't have been possible wthout meshlab, so...
Thanks for this marvelous program, thanks for sharing it fornfree, thanks your hard working !
I'm building some dreams, you've made one of the tools that I needed for it !
Hallowed be Meshlab and its developpers !
