after nearly a year I'm happy to report that Meshlab has stayed the course and held its own amongst the ranks of heavy-hitters like Autodesk, Tekla, Adobe, etc. Since adding Meshlab to my triangulation-decimating-arsenal, I have constantly found it being a very capable go-between for the aformentioned platforms, saving me from the proprietary-induced headaches and making even the most complicated(often overly-so) workflows a breeze compared to other software suites. Meshlab just 'gets it', and the best part of all it gets it right!
