Problem after scaling a mesh

My name is Matteo Terzi and I am a podiatrist. I use your software daily and with great ease (with macOS Ventura 13.5.1) to process scans of feet, on which to design 3D printed insoles. I've been having a problem for some time. Once the scan has been done (with an iPhone app) and sent to the mac for modifications, I have to import it to the online software (feetah.net, developed especially for us podiatrists) to create the insole project. Since the mesh is valid I have to scale it and add a factor x 1000 on all three axes (I imagine for the size of the scan).
I would like to understand why, if I make this modification with another software (specifically, MeshMixer) the mesh is loaded, while if I do it with MeshLab it is NEVER valid. I prefer MeshLab which runs better in a mac environment and also allows you to load the meshes with the original colors (which other software doesn't allow by importing only in gray).
I hope you can help me find a solution. Thank you in advance.

Hi Matteo,

First, I will guess the reason for having to scale the model x1000. Most probably, the coordinates in the scan exported from the iPhone are expressed in meters, while the website is expecting the values in millimeters. I don't know if you can edit the settings on any of both programs (app or web) and select the same units there, but this would be quite ideal.

Respect to why the website does not accept the output of meshlab.... you need to explain which file format are you using as export and upload to the website. Sometimes the same file format can be exported as binary or ascii (for example, STL file format)

1. Ensure that yo export to STL format (and not the default .ply) writting a file with the .stl extension.
   

2. In the next dialog, try a combination of the "Binary Encoding" and "Color Encoding" flags that are accepted by feetah.net
