meshlab to TeXworks

Using the latest versions (texworks 0.6.7 in feb 2022) with meshlab 2022.02 I find that when I output a u3d format it has a .tex file that TeXworks will not handle.
Inserting:
https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/572316/missing-endcsname-inserted-to-be-read-again-when-attempting-3dpdf
into the meshlab generated .tex file, with the appropriate file name change allows an output, but it would be nice if meshlab output something that works with TeXworks.
