Using transformations in the src URL

Are there any disadvantages to using the cloudinary url with transformations directly in the src?

they dont get preserved by default,s o you would need to pass the preserveTransformations flag. but also i would expect it usually makes more sense to control the transformations in the front end if you can, closer to the code that makes use of them, unless you're providing some sort of admin interface to control these sorts of things or certain ones

once you preserve transformations, you can apply additional ones on top
