A LiveView app for activity tracking with the goal of providing a positive reinforcement for focused, personal investment in a small set of activities.
The general ideas are:
- too many activities/ things to track will stretch one's attention and time too thin
- having many hobbies or interests is a good thing, but I believe that carefully tracking many hobbies leads to underinvestment in all of them
- too many gradations for the value of an engagement with an activity can lead to paralysis in selection, and it makes the scaling less meaningful
- points are fun, so I want the option of gamifying personal investment tracking
- streaks are a good encouragement mechanism, particularly when there is a low effort option to carry a streak and maintain or build momentum
To start your Phoenix server:
- Install dependencies with
mix deps.get - Create and migrate your database with
mix ecto.setup - Start Phoenix endpoint with
mix phx.serveror inside IEx withiex -S mix phx.server
Now you can visit localhost:4000 from your browser.
