In reference to the below paragraph in this section:

It is recommended when deprecating a package to deprecate all its contained classes as well. When deprecating a class it is recommended to deprecate all associations in which it is involved and all its native attributes. Inheritance from a deprecated class is less clear and no general guidance is given, except to avoid this situation if possible.
