Short Read Error then crashes out.

So I get the error dirwatch.watcher: Short read in readEvents()
And then it's basically crashed out at that point, and stops ingesting calls.
Any ideas, possible bug that needs some better error handling so it throws the error and then continues processing?
Edit: This is a VERY busy system if that matters at all, with multiple calls coming in at the same time.
