Patient selection from PICU, NICU and CICU

Around half of our ICU population is from PICU and the remaining in NICU and CICU. When we select the 25% of total patients for Feb 2024 submission, are there any directions on how many (or what percentage of) patients to select from each ICU?

Good question - following guidelines to sample without enrichment, it would be ideal to submit a roughly balanced proportion from each ICU. For instance, if your ICUs contribute 50/30/20% each, then you should aim for the same 50/30/20 split in your sample. This could be subject to other data availability constraints (e.g. presence of waveforms). We will discuss this more on Friday.
