Keep inline select width constant whether selected or unselected

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I would prefer grid layouts to not shift when inline selects are active. See example below. This seems to occur because the inline select width grows to accommodate the < and > when active.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Not using grid layouts and inline selects together.
