Hi,

will be there a Version for new HOMEY Pro 2023 in future avaible? At the moment the App-Store shows that the App is not compatible with the new HOMEY Pro.

Kind Regards,
Nick

Because I also have a lot of TKB Home products and I ordered the Homey Pro 2023, it would be great if the TKB Home APP would work on the new Homey Pro 2023.
Can you give us an answer on this, caseda ?

Here another TKB user. Would love to know if you are planning to update the homey app.

Hi! Same here. I am using TKB relays for the ventilation system. In the next weeks hope to receive the new Pro. Possible to have a look at the update?

Same here! I am expecting my new homey soon and I would like to continue using my tkbhome products.

Hi, I received my Homey 2023 today and was wondering if your app will support this new Homey?

Sorry for the late responds.
But I have currently no plans in updating this app to SDKv3.

Main reason is the same why i've practically stopped supporting this app several years ago:
They don't respect the Z-Wave specifications in several ways making a good app pretty difficult, especially without having any of their devices.
I rather spent my limited free time on other things, sorry.

Its a pitty, because I have to buy some alternative hardware and throw the tkb stuff away.
However I do get your point and you are right.

Hi @caseda, understand your point. Would donations be an option, if you look for a certain amount in total, and we will try together get all donated by users before starting?

Is it possible to handover the source to a homey communiymember? Then sombody else can update de SDK

@Chopper8
Not accepting any donation for upgrading, then rather donate to developers that do more work then me currently.

@ehdegroot
But ofcourse, the source is already open on this GitHub, just transfering to another (developers') account is necessary.

I'm happy to take over. I cloned the repo a while ago to add the TSM10 door sensor for my own use, and been through the code fixing it for sdk3, but I can't publish it without @caseda giving me permission to take over his code.

@pshotton that is awesome news. I bet @caseda will do that according to his last reply. Thank you!

OK, I have a working TKBHome app for sdk3 - works for all my devices (but I'm only using a few). I can't publish it without @caseda handing over unless I change the app id (com.tkbhome) and then you'd have to reassociate all your devices.

If you want to try it then check out my github repo, https://github.com/pshotton/com.tkbhome.git
If you execute 'homey app install' from the top level directory it will install on your homey, replacing the existing app, and all your devices will (should!) continue to work. If you get any problems then pleasee raise an issue at https://github.com/pshotton/com.tkbhome/issues

Tbh i dont mind to start over. In 2023 homey there is nothing anymore… For people who have older homey’s it will keep working also then with the old app. @caseda is still not responding, so i would suggest… publish a new copy.

Awesome you are doing this! Thank you again!

@pshotton nice! can you share your Homey account's ID (you can find this on the developer tools) so I can transfer the app to your account.
Not sure if it is safe to do so on Github (not sure what other people can do with other's account ID), so better to do this via the forum's PM system or Slack, I have the same name on both (Caseda).

@ehdegroot really? 😡 I don't respond within 3 days and it is already "still not responding, lets make it a separate app"?
You do know I have a life right?
And am a regular guy doing these things in his free time and aren't watching my github with a hawkseye, and am instantly able to respond.
And that an app based on an already exiting app, with the same exact code isn't allowed?
People like you is why several community developers have already left the Homey platform, please think of other people's feelings before you say anything, we aren't robots with no emotions.

@caseda
I'm shocked how you react to a fact... you haven't reacted yet, have you? I've never judged it...
I didn't mean to hurt your feelings at all. All I did is respond to the two options pshotton gave.

And the way you react is out of proportion... you don't know me and then you say; People like me?

@ehdegroot replying not immediately, but in 3 days when this is voluntary work: I understand @caseda is surprised by your comment, and explained it in a nice manner. I fully agree Caseda.

I don’t know you all personal, suggestion @ehdegroot should apology imo. Some voluntary work, and you expect immediate actions. Not fair, rude even imo.

@caseda You know most of us are having better behaviour. Hopefully :)

Following @caseda's transfer of the app to me I've released a test version of the TKB Home app to the homey store. It supports sdk3, but is otherwise unchanged. As I grow more familiar with the code base I will go through all device code and check proper use of the sdk3 api. Meanwhile feel free to test and raise any issues on https://github.com/pshotton/com.tkbhome/issues
Code is my fork of @caseda and is at https://github.com/pshotton/com.tkbhome
Enjoy
